Dr Elisavet Andrikopoulou is a Senior Lecturer of computer science at the University of Portsmouth, UK. Her research is on health informatics and is the Events, publications and communications lead of the BCS Faculty of Health and Care.

Parisis Gallos

Dr. Parisis Gallos is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Computational Biomedicine Laboratory (CBML), University of Piraeus, Greece. His research focuses on biomedical informatics and eHealth systems. He also serves as the Publications Officer of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI).

Philip Scott
Conference Director

Professor of Digital Health & Care Philip Scott is Chair of BCS Faculty of Health & Care and Programme Director at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He is an internationally recognised expert in health informatics and theory-based evaluations. Prof Scott is Vice President of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA).

Professor Theodoros Arvanitis RT, DPhil, CEng, FRSM, FGBHI, Digital Health Technology, is a Full professor in the Department of Electronic, Electrical & Systems Engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK. His work specializes in biomedical engineering and health informatics. He also serves as the Scientific Projects Officer of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI).

Dr Rosalynn Austin is a Cardiology Nurse Researcher interested in how technology can be used to improve the health experiences of people with heart failure. She splits her time between the University of Stavanger (Norway) where she works on the eHealth@Hospital-2-Home project and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (UK) where she is working to establish an inter-sector research group. She is also the host of the podcast, Researcher Revealed.

Dr. Arriel Benis is an Associate Professor at the Holon Institute of Technology, Israel. His research interests include health informatics, decision support systems, and telemedicine. He is also the Executive Officer of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI).

Prof. Ronald Cornet is a Full Professor of medical informatics at Amsterdam UMC, location AMC – University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He leads a research group on reusable health data, and is chair of the Dutch Health Informatics Association VMBI.

Dr. Panagiotis Chatzistergos is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the School of Science and Engineering, University of Dundee, UK. His research explores biomechanics, biomedical signal processing, and medical device design.

Dr. Alexander Dejaco is a specialist consultant in anaesthesiology, critical care and pain medicine at University Hospital of Regensburg in Germany. He also specializes in Biomedical Engineering.

Dr Alaa Mohasseb is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Portsmouth and the Course Leader for the MSc in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, specifically in the areas of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.

Pantelis Natsiavas is an eHealth Researcher (Grade C) at the Institute of Applied Biosciences, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, Greece. His research is on the exploitation of computational approaches for drug safety, focusing on the use of Knowledge Graphs and Real-World Data.

Dr Haythem Nakkas is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth, UK, where he is also the course leader for the MSc Information Systems degree.

Dr. Linda Peute is a senior researcher at the department of medical Informatics at the Amsterdam University Medical centers - University of Amsterdam. She is research lead in Human Factors Engineering in Health informatics and director of the eHealth Living & Learning lab Amsterdam.
